What would happen if i dont pay my electric bill and move house?

im not trying to get out of paying, but, i simply cannot afford to pay. when i give final meter reading can i give the electricity company a fake address? so final bills for gas and electric go there? i will then sig up with a different utility company at new house. i have never been on electoral roll.
