Can you influence someones dream while they are in *i think* REM sleep?

I was just curious if I was to play music or have sounds playing or say something would that likely appear in a dream if the person was dreaming or is there ways to possibly influence what they're dreaming about. Not to be a creeper but when i see someone sleeping every once in awhile ill pretend im a whale and I'll make noises like dory does in finding nemo and say things like i was chasing them or gonna eat them in the hopes that theyll be like i had this crazy dream with some gay whale chasing me ( childish maybe, but i think most people have wanted to make someone dream about something even if its not quite that weird) Atleast im not asking how to make a girl dream about my .....or am I o-O hahahhahahaha but seriously i just wanna know if its possible to influence someone while they are dreaming and how
