What is the perfect shot placement on a large ungulate(hoofed animal)?

In my opinion, the perfect sweet spot on any of the ungulates would be the neck. If you make a good neck shot, the animal drops on the spot, very little meat is ruined and the head remains intact in case the hunter wants to mount it.
