Why is my house so dusty!?

I hoover clean and tidy every day in our house. But by the end of the day the bathroom and bedroom, living room have all collected dust! I dont understand as I use polish, and we dont have any clutter in our house its spotless. Any ideas as its very annoying,other peoples houses never seem to look dusty! I hoover our bedroom carpet all the time, but notice that fluff and cotton seem to appear? Any ideas to get a dust free house.
