What do you think of this conclussion to the war in Chechnya?
After seeing many atrocities of Chechens I agree with Stalins stance. Chechens should be exterminated, not deported. Russian government negotiated a ceasefire in 1994 and granted the Chechens autonomy and the war came to an end, however this was not enough for the Chechens, in 1997 Shamil Basayev (the same animal who was behind Beslan school siege and Moscow theater siege) led a band of Chechen rebels and Islamic fundamentalists on an incursion into neighbouring Dagestan to 'free' the Dagestanis from their Russian 'oppressors'. The Dagestanis greeted their liberators with bullets, and until Basayev's death last year most Dagestanis would not shirk duty as Basayev's executioner. This action by Basayev started a civil war between Chechens and Dagestanis which continues in Dagestan to this day, and led to a renewed war in Chechnya, which also continues to this day. The Chechens were given peace on a plate, and they smashed the plate
