Atticus Finch and Bob Ewell? To kill A Mockingbird?

The only similarity that I can see is that they are raised solely by the patriarch of the family. The main difference between how they raise their children is that Atticus teaches his children, patiently, so they learn. Therefore, they respect him. Ewell uses fear and violence to control his children and they grow up ignorant because he doesn't take the time to teach them which reflects his disinterest in education and understanding.
