Why is his friend acting like this?

okay the guy i'm talking to/dating has a friend that he introduced me to a few weeks ago. when i met this guy he asked me if i had any single friends and that he wanted 'someone just like me'..he said this even with my guy ( his friend) standing right there. so i introduced him to one of my good friends and they seemed to get a long...but lately...this guy has been calling me a lot....i always make sure to tell my guy that his friend called me...but when he calls he'll say 'why r u ignoring my calls' (if i miss a call etc)...and he'll talk alil and then he'll bring up my friend and say 'can i have her num again'....he's been calling me lately but sometimes i have to bring her up..and then hell ask for her num again....he called me at 10pm the other night to 'ask fr her num' and i gave him the num like 5x and he hasn't even called. what do you think is going on? and why is he calling me?? i set my friend up with him for them to get to know eachother & i dont want my guy to think im trying to get with his friend.
