Looking for some weight training and weight loss advice.?
Hey everyone. Here's the situation. I'm nineteen years old, going on twenty and I just broke 300 lbs. Not a good thing. I've been overweight for a fairly long time now, and when I was in my early teens it didn't bother me. I felt fine, and overall I still do. I've got a good heart, not easily winded, all that jazz. But now, after holding the weight for so long and steadily gaining, I'm starting to ache. Bad knees, bad back, all that jazz. 300 lbs may sound really bad, but in actuality I'm probably only around 80 to 90 lbs overweight. I'm a fairly big fella, height and shoulders, etc. Anyways, here's what I'm looking for. I'm looking to get healthy, and I need some advice. Looking for a starter weight training regimen and also an easy to get along with diet. I started cutting back a few days ago and so far I've been focusing on a diet that is primarily composed of protein since I'm working on gaining muscle in this process. I'm balancing different veggies and fruits and all that jazz, but the main focus is alot of meat. So, now that you have an idea of what I'm going for, any advice? Any good resources I should be aware of? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
